Our Environmental Commitment

At Deane Apparel, we believe that sustainability is not just a responsibility—it’s a promise. We recognise the environmental impact of garment production and are committed to reversing it. This promise is woven into every decision we make, from the materials we source to the way we deliver our products. It reflects our belief that businesses must be active stewards of the planet, not passive participants.

Our goal is to become a carbon-positive business by 2028, meaning we will give back more to the planet than we take. To achieve this, we’ve mapped our emissions and developed a carbon reduction plan in partnership with Go Well Consulting. We’re actively reducing airfreight, trialling electric vehicles, and using 100% renewable energy at our head office.

Packaging is another key focus. We aim to reduce polybag usage by 75% by 2026 and ensure all paper and cardboard packaging is made from 100% recycled sources. Our courier bags are now home-compostable, and we’ve eliminated over 1.7 million plastic polybags.

These efforts are part of our broader strategy, “A Promise to Our Planet,” which reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and environmental stewardship. We’re not just treading lightly—we’re working to leave the planet better than we found it.
