A Practical Partnership That Delivered.
When Tracey Helman stepped into the uniform project for Mercedes-Benz, she inherited a system that wasn’t working. Garments were falling apart within weeks, safety standards weren’t being met, and staff were frustrated.
“You’ll have about three weeks with it, then it will start falling apart.”
Her priority was clear: fix the quality issues and deliver a uniform solution that worked for the people wearing it:
“Quality is the biggest problem for me. The price didn’t bother me.”
From the beginning, Deane’s team worked closely with Tracey to understand the requirements and respond quickly to feedback.
“Maggie was on point with everything we needed… anything I asked for, she came back to me straight away.”
The result was a smooth rollout and a project that earned a perfect satisfaction score: “I’d say 5.”
Uniforms That Work Hard
The new garments were designed with the realities of the job in mind. Technicians needed freedom of movement, comfort, and safety.
“If you can do a squat in the pants and feel comfortable, then great.”
Safety was a key focus. Deane introduced day and night reflective options and more cotton into the range.
Comfort has also improved. The new polos addressed odour retention and stiffness issues that staff were experiencing in their old uniforms.
